Formed in April 2025, the Selena Savage Septet has developed an unmistakeable sonic identity, featuring complex arrangements, lush harmonies, and a tight, unified sound.

Alongside honouring the groups’ Toronto predecessors, Selena’s arrangements and compositions draw from the tradition of Big Band/large ensemble writing pioneered by musicians such as Sammy Nestico, Count Basie, Art Blakey, and Gil Evans.

The Selena Savage Septet performs regularly in Toronto. You can catch them playing at The Rex, the Jazz Bistro, and the Emmet Ray.
